Crooked Teeth – Japan
For the most part, if you live in the Western part of the world, having a set of straight pearly whites is a must. In fact, many of us that don’t, often tend to smile less because we don’t want to show the world that we don’t have this feature.

However, in Japan, their take on teeth is a little bit different. They actually think that when you have crooked teeth, you are cuter. This change is starting to be seen as attractive in the Western world.
Body Scarification – West Africa
We know what you’re thinking – scars are not really something that is universally accepted as being a beautiful attribute. That may be the case in most parts of the world, but for the inhabitants of New Guinea and some African tribes, they are most definitely a sign of beauty.

When it comes to these tribes, the beauty quotient of these scarifications is solely attached to the females. For the men, the scarifications are a sign of strength and being a warrior.
Heart-Shaped Face – South Korea
There are some countries in the world that really put a big stock on looks, and so people in these places tend to be more open to cosmetic surgery. Take, for instance, South Korea, where you will often see advertisements for procedures.

One of these procedures is intended to help the women there achieve a particular attribute that is seen as a true sign of beauty. This, of course, is the heart-shaped face which can only be done with a little cosmetic surgery on the chin.
Extra Weight – Mauritania
People take their body image seriously all over the world. In most countries, when you have a little bit of extra weight, you feel a bit self-conscious as it’s not necessarily looked at as attractive. Though this may be changing slightly, it is still a known struggle.

But for the women of Mauritania, this is not the case. In fact, men find women there that have extra weight vastly more attractive than those that don’t.
Surgical Dressing – Iran
No matter where you live, you may find yourself wanting to get a little work done on your nose. Maybe it’s too big or too small or maybe you just want a different look. There are a lot of people out there that want to make some adjustments.

In Iran, this procedure is very common, even though it is also pricey. To have a straight nose in this country is deemed beautiful, and so many people, both men, and women go under the knife.
Pale Skin – China
It may seem counterintuitive to many people from the Western world who long to have a golden tan, but some countries in the world feel that pale skin is a sign of beauty — places like China, for example.

To obtain this paler skin, many of the beauty products sold within this country have some sort of bleaching agent involved. Chinese people will also try to stay out of the sun or wear masks so that they can achieve their desired skin tone.
High Forehead – Africa
Many different parts of the body, depending on the culture you come from, are found to be attractive. For instance, if you come from the Fula tribe in Africa, you may find that you want to have a high forehead.

Many of these tribal women will go as far as to remove parts of their hair so that they can create a higher forehead. When you really think about it, the lengths we go to, in order to achieve our standard of beauty is quite astonishing.
Long Necks – Burma
It is not a surprise that there are many places in the world that find the neck one of the most attractive parts of a woman. Typically though, these places don’t require you to do anything to them, except maybe to lift your hair off your neck.

However, in Eastern Burma, this isn’t the case. In fact, the women of the Kayan tribe there actively stretch their necks out. They do this by wearing a brass ring necklace that helps elongate the neck. Ouch!
Red Skin – Africa
It’s not a big surprise that one of the physical attributes people find attractive has to do with skin tone. In some parts of the world, you want to be darker, and in others, you would want to be lighter, but in Africa, there is a tribe that wants to be redder.

The Himba tribe in Namibia uses a mixture of red ochre and fat to help keep them safe from the harmful rays of the sun. Because of this mixture, their skin tone turns red, and this has become one of the features that this tribe deems beautiful.
Unibrows – Tajikistan
In most places in the Western world, if you walked around with a unibrow, you would be mocked or at the very least stared at. This is because it is not very beautiful in these areas to go ungroomed in this way. But that isn’t the case everywhere.

In Tajikistan, the unibrow is actually a sign of beauty for both the male and the female. So much so that even if a young girl doesn’t have one, she will pencil it in.
Stretched Earlobes – Africa
Most of the world agrees that a woman who has pierced ears and can don beautiful jewelry is very attractive. But there are some parts of the world where the practice of wearing heavy jewelry and stretching your earlobes out is considered beautiful.

In fact, members of the Masai tribe purposely stretch out their ear lobes over time. This is seen as a status symbol for the women of the tribe and because of this, everybody pays attention to how long their ears are.
Shaved Heads – Africa
Most people, when they think of beautiful women, think of long luscious locks that flow down their back. However, some cultures believe quite the opposite.

In some parts of Africa, it is thought that women with shaved heads are much more attractive than those with long hair or braids. So, as we’re starting to realize, beauty standards are very different depending on where you are situated.
Face Tattoo – New Zealand
The Mallory tribe of New Zealand are well known for their love of the tattoo. Every tattoo is different and meant to give honor to their ancestral heritage.

For women, these tattoos also allow others to see which tribe they come from and where they stand in that tribe. As a result, these women tend to tattoo their lips and their chins, which is solely for beauty reasons. What do you think of the look?
Henna Tattoos – India
There are a lot of beauty trends in India, and one of these is henna tattoos. These special tattoos are applied to make themselves look more interesting, especially when it comes to big occasions like weddings or holidays.

Women will put them on their hands and feet to accentuate their beauty, but these tattoos are also an expression that is looked at as being very spiritual too. Do you see the beauty in henna art?
Body Hair – France
We find this hard to believe, but there are some places in the world that actually feel that being natural in any way is more attractive than not. For some, this means letting some of the hair on their body grow out.

Though we’re not so sure that this trend is quite as popular as it used to be, there are still some that feel they don’t need to shave as much as others.
Double Eyelids – South Korea
We know that this physical attribute may sound like something that belongs to a science fiction alien character or something but this is actually something that in South Korea is believed to help you look more beautiful.

So, in order to achieve double eyelids, there is a specific surgery available there, or you can simply use eyelid tape to make this happen. What it does is widen the eyes, which many people there feel is a sign of beauty.
Chalk Body Covering – Africa
Make-up is basically a form of body painting. Though for most of the world, the only place that it belongs is on the face. This is not the case when it comes to the body painting of the Caro tribe in Ethiopia.

The people of this tribe use white chalk to create spider motifs all over the body. This body painting is deemed a mark of beauty among both men and women.
Extraocular Implant – Netherlands
Many people in the world believe that one of the features that they find the most attractive is their significant other’s eyes. This may be why in the Netherlands extraocular implants are seen as such a symbol of beauty.

To do this, the person goes under a small surgical procedure that implants a piece of molded platinum in a specific shape that they have chosen into their eye. It sounds a little scary but the end result is pretty cool.
Sharp Teeth – Indonesia
A great smile is always attractive, but that great smile actually depends on where you’re from. It might be straight and white or, in the case of tribes in Indonesia, sharp and pointy.

There are some tribes in Indonesia who file their teeth into sharp points and this for them is a mark of beauty. The procedure to achieve this is actually is quite painful, but even still, women rush to get it done so they can attract a mate.
Cheek Piercing – Thailand
In the Western world, it is very common nowadays to get dimple piercings. These are one thing, but in Thailand, they go a step further with the cheek piercing.

Cheek piercing in Thailand is not only looked at as a beauty attribute but also is a sign of religious devotion. Both men and women execute this beauty trend, and when it comes to the size of the piercing, that can vary from very small to very large.
Nose Plug – India
It is common knowledge that there is a wide range of beauty techniques that are carried out in India. One of these also offers an interesting take on physical attributes and what can be deemed as beautiful.

In the Apatani tribe in India, the women sport traditional nose plugs. These are plugs that are inserted in the nose like a gauge. It is an important aspect of their culture. As you can tell from the photo, the plugs also extend the size of their nostrils.
Gum Tattoo – Africa
Many cultures across the globe believe that tattoos are a sign of beauty as well as status and power. Typically these tattoos are on areas that you can see at all times, but in Senegal, the women have a unique place that they like to get tattooed.

Senegalese women go through a process of gum tattooing because they feel that this makes their smiles not only unique but beautiful. Each to their own, right?
Lotus Feet – China
Feet size is not typically something that many people think of when they think of physically attractive attributes. That is unless you live in rural China, in which the tradition of footbinding is still seen as an important beauty routine.

This process is painful and takes quite a bit of time. Footbinding basically breaks the woman’s feet down into a small form. This then makes them into lotus feet.
Minimal Makeup – France
In the Western world, you rarely find a culture that wants women to embrace unconventional beauty. For the most part, women in these countries tend to try to emulate what they see in the media which in turn makes many look alike.

In France, however, they are different, and they love to embrace an alternative idea of what beauty can be. This gives these women a little bit more liberation and a lot more room to play things up or down. So, minimal makeup is actually admired here.
Fake Tan – USA
Unlike many of the Asian countries, when you head to the West, particularly in the United States, having pale skin isn’t always thought of as being beautiful. That is why so many people sit out in the sun or head over to the tanning salon.

Even though this puts them at risk for health concerns, it is still not a deterrent as most people feel that having tan skin is a physical attribute that is very appealing.
Big Bottom – USA
In the United States, there is a lot of emphases put on body image. Women often feel pressure to keep up with the beauty trends of the time as they are also constantly changing.

One of the hottest body image trends going now is having what some might call the ‘hip-hop booty.’ This means that the woman has a tiny waist but a large posterior, like the hourglass shape. This is a shape that is also endorsed by celebrities like the Kardashians.
Big Eyes – Asia
When you look at someone and decide whether or not you are attracted to them, often the first place you’ll look at is their eyes. This is where the saying of how “the eyes are the window to the soul” came from.

In Japan and many other Asian countries, this may be why one of the beauty attributes that get the most attention is having big eyes. Of course, not everybody has that so sometimes people go under the knife to achieve this look.
Turmeric Face – India
If you are into health and beauty, then you probably have heard about the wondrous spice called turmeric. In Indian holistic healing as well as in beauty products across the globe, turmeric is touted as one of the best beauty treatments there is.

It might seem strange to rub this yellow spice on your face, but it does have a lot of great attributes. It will, however, stain your skin a bit. Yet interestingly enough, this yellowish tint in some places is looked at as a sign of beauty.
Facial Piercing – USA
The crowd you hang out with may also determine what physical attributes are seen as cool or deemed beautiful. There is a large population of people in the United States that are into alternative ideas of beauty.

For some, one of the most attractive physical attributes is body piercing, in particular facial piercings. While some find that less is more works better with this, others are excessive and want to have piercings all over their body.
Straight Teeth – USA
Your smile can be one of the most beautiful and communicative attributes that you have. Many cultures appreciate different variations of this though. For example, some promote sharp-edged or even crooked teeth.

But in the US, that does not meet the beauty standard. In fact, if you’re in the US, then you want to make sure that those pearly whites are perfectly straight and white. Are you on board with the notion of pearly whites?
Extra Plump Lips – USA
Sticking with the United States, other physical attributes that are synonymous with beauty here are linked to the world of celebrities. Nowadays, what’s promoted besides a great smile and hourglass shape, is extra plump lips.

But not everyone is born with thick lips and so because of this, many people are now turning to both surgical and non-surgical measures to achieve this overall look.
Bigger Noses – Afghanistan
While the Western world normally associates beauty with smaller and straight noses, that is not the case universally. Some societies actually see a larger nose as a symbol of beauty.

Like for Afghani women, who actively seek to have their noses enlarged. So much so that there is a large demand for rhinoplasty surgery in Afganistan. It’s so interesting to see how different countries want different looks, don’t you think?
Guitar Shape – Brazil
In Brazil, their ideal body image differs from other countries because they see people who are overly thin as looking weak or malnourished. Because of this, they promote a stronger and fuller physique there known as the guitar-shaped body.

This shape allows the woman to have wider hips but a small chest. And while this is not the idea of beauty everywhere, when it comes to Brazilian women, it is one of the most sought-after physical attributes.
Dyed Teeth – China
In most of the Western world, we have all been told that brushing our teeth is crucial so that there is no discoloration. But that is not a universal beauty requirement because some rural areas of Asia have a different take on this.

There are some tribes in Asia that dye their teeth as a sign of beauty. This tradition is not only done to reflect femininity but also to show other men in the tribes that they are married.
Stick Piercing – Brazil
Though you may have to hike or canoe a distance to find the Yanomami clans of South America, if you did, you would find that they have a unique idea of what beauty actually is. You might be curious as to what so just look below and you’ll see what we’re referring to.

For the women of this tribe, the physical attribute that is seen as beautiful is having stick piercings. Typically these piercings are done in the face around the chin and mouth. What do you think of it?
Skinny Noses – South Korea
It seems that one of the biggest trends in many Asian countries is to alter their face so that it appears less Asian, and this may be due to the Western influence on their cultures. Not only do they want larger eyes, but they also admire skinny noses.

Since not everyone in this country is born with a thin nose, they have come up with rather drastic techniques, such as nose squeezing, to help get a skinnier nose profile.
Waist Training – USA
In order to achieve a more hourglass figure and well-sculpted derriere, women in the US have caught on to waist trainers. The end goal is to get a super slim waist while allowing your hips to protrude.

We are not sure how healthy this is for the human body – surely you can crush your bones or organs with this? But even despite the potential health damage, it is something that is now considered beautiful.
Teeth Chiseling – Africa
There are several tribes in the world that deem having pointed teeth as a sign of beauty. This isn’t only in Indonesia but also in the African nations as well. For many of these tribes, not only is having chiseled teeth beautiful but also a way to look fierce.

The process is quite painful, and many women go through it every year. This is a great way for them to show their status and feel beautiful.
Rib Resection– Asia
In Asia, another prominent physical attribute that is looked at as being attractive is a slimmer waist contour. This is not always something that is given naturally, and so many women have taken to cosmetic surgery in order to have rib resectioning done.

This process allows them to have a thinner waist and therefore wear slimming shirts or even corsets. Having this procedure done seems to be a more extreme version of the US waist training.
Glass Skin – South Korea
While some cultures believe that makeup can cover any skin issues, South Koreans prefer to focus on having the most flawless skin they can get. Known as glass skin, for its shiny and almost translucent look, the look has become the standard for beauty in the Asian country.

The look is supposedly achievable by implementing a ten-step regimen that includes face scrubs, toner, moisturizers, and cleansers. If you have extra time on your hands, this dewy and bright skin can be yours.
Red Under-Eyes – Japan
While most women spend hours of their lives and hundreds of dollars on reducing under-eye discolorations, women in Japan are purposely applying red pigments to their under-eye area.

Known as byojaku, Japanese for ‘sickly’, the makeup is supposed to make the user look like they’re sick or suffering from allergies. The makeup is supposed to be combined with a pale color foundation to make the red even more obvious. Who knew sick days could inspire your next makeup look?
Bagel Head – Canada and Japan
In 2012, news of a strange new body modification procedure spread across the globe. Known as ‘bagel head’, the procedure involves injecting saline into the forehead which is then shaped into a ring, or doughnut shape.

While the procedure was actually invented in Canada, it became a popular trend in the Japanese underground party scene. The injections last about 24 hours but come with several health risks. Seems like a real bagel or doughnut would be a better choice!
Cheek Reduction – South Korea
Most of us associate round faces and plump cheeks with youth. While these features may be desired in some parts of the world, in South Korea many people are turning to plastic surgery to get a more defined facial structure.

Known as buccal lipectomy, this surgery reduces the buccal fat pads in our cheeks resulting in a thinner face. Another popular surgery, zygoma reduction, reduces the size of your cheekbones. Both surgeries completely change the appearance of face shapes and are becoming increasingly popular.
Squiggly Eyebrows – United States
Thanks to social media and the rise of beauty bloggers, there has been an unprecedented focus on eyebrows. From bold and unnatural Instagram eyebrows to eyebrow tattoos, people across the world have used their social media pages to show off the latest in eyebrow trends.

In 2017 one crazy trend, the “squiggle brow”, went viral. Beauty influences uploaded pictures of themselves wearing the trend, and even mainstream media outlets covered this new style. Thankfully, natural eyebrow shapes have regained their status as being the most desirable look.
Extremely Long Hair – India
Long hair has long been associated with femininity, fertility, and sensuality. For Indian women, growing their hair out is not just about beauty but also spirituality. One Indian woman, Akanksha Yadav, broke records with her almost ten-foot-long locks.

In some sects of Hinduism, hair is grown out and later donated to a temple as a spiritual offering. Many Sikh men follow a practice known as kesh in which they do not cut their hair, which they feel is God’s creation and should not be changed.
Mustaches – The Middle East
While the popularity of mustaches has come and gone in many countries, there is one region in the world where this particular type of facial hair continues to be the most desirable – the Middle East.

Many men in this region consider the mustache to be a symbol of masculinity, prestige, virility, and even wisdom. The drive to have a mustache has even led to an emerging mustache hair transplant industry for men who wish to achieve a thicker mustache.
Chest Augmentation – Venezuela
To be clear, Venezuela isn’t the only country where a bigger bust is considered more desirable. What makes Venezuela unique, however, is the sheer obsession the country seems to have with this popular plastic surgery.

Even political and economic turmoil hasn’t slowed down the population’s hunger for plastic surgery. Considered a regular part of life, the surgery does not carry the same stigma as in other countries. The pressure to look a certain way has resulted in chest augmentations being a popular gift for girls as young as 15!
Nose Rings – South Asia
Nose piercings and jewelry have long been associated with India, but the popularity has spread to nearby countries such as Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. In India, the piercing is traditionally done by a woman on the left side of the nose.

In addition to being considered a social status symbol, many consider the piercing to be associated with the Hindu goddess of marriage, Parvati. Indian women traditionally wear elaborate pieces of nose jewelry on their wedding day.
Straight Eyebrows – South Korea
While many women in the West are turning to eyebrow pencils and botox injections to give them an arched eyebrow look, many South Korean women are choosing to wear their eyebrows completely straight.

This linear look is thought to give the wearer a more youthful appearance. In South Korea, it has become one of the most popular beauty trends. Some women with naturally arched eyebrows have even resorted to cutting or waxing their eyebrow hair to achieve this look.
Cosmetic Contact Lenses – East Asia
In East Asia, where darker-colored eyes are common, people have turned to contact lenses to achieve the effect of lighter or rounder eyes. Colored non-prescription contact lenses have become a common way to enhance appearances, and are available in a variety of colors.

Circle lenses give the eye a larger and more rounded appearance, resulting in an almost anime-like look. The lenses are very popular with younger people despite the health risks associated with them. Today, their popularity has resulted in them being seen almost like a fashion accessory.
Ultra Slim Physiques – China
In China, a smaller frame is often associated with femininity and attractiveness. Women with larger figures are considered unattractive and less likely to find a husband. This pressure has resulted in several social media challenges encouraging women to show off their often disturbingly small frames.

One challenge showed women wrapping their arms behind their backs and reaching their belly button. Other challenges encouraged women to show how many coins would fit into the dip of their clavicle bone, while others had women compare their waists to sheets of paper.
Extremely Long Eyelashes – United States
Our eyelashes have the important role of keeping our delicate eyes safe from dust and other debris. In addition to supporting eye health, eyelashes can also change the appearance of our eyes. Longer lashes can make our eyes look larger, more awake, and more feminine.

It’s no surprise that women have turned to false eyelashes to give them fuller and longer eyelashes. Lash growth serums and extensions have also become common cosmetic procedures for women seeking this wide-eyed look.
Sharp Canine Teeth – Japan
While most of us would associate sharp pointed teeth with Dracula or other monsters, many in Japan consider the fang-like teeth to be attractive. The canines, which separate our incisor teeth from our molars, are usually visible when we smile but can sometimes regularly protrude.

The Japanese call these protruding teeth yaeba, and associate them with youth. While many people turn to dental procedures to reduce the appearance of sharp canines, Japanese girls are actually putting caps on their teeth to increase their size.
Androgynous Male Style – South Korea
Known as Kkonminam, this new generation of South Korean men is challenging long-held beliefs about what it means to be masculine. Kkonminam are young men who enjoy fashion, different hairstyles, and even cosmetics.

Their style can be seen in many famous Korean pop bands and male celebrities. Most Kkonminam are clean-shaven with longer hair. South Korean men are increasingly becoming fans of skincare products and cosmetic surgery. Many fashion experts believe that this unique style will have a worldwide influence on men’s fashion in the future.
Perfect Smiles – South Korea
It seems that across the globe, one physical attribute that is the focus of a lot of beauty trends is the smile. Whether that is the lips or the actual teeth, the smile seems to be a universal sign of beauty.

However, in South Korea, they have a little bit of a different take on what exactly makes a smile beautiful. In order to get the perfect smile, many women go through a procedure known as smile lifting. This gives them almost a permanent smile at all times.
Puffy Under Eyes – South Korea
Sometimes the reason for a physical attribute being beautiful has to do with the culture itself. For instance, in South Korea, bags under your eyes don’t always mean you’re tired. In fact, often, people look at this attribute as a sign of youth.

That may be why this is one of those physical attributes that people find very attractive. And just like everything else in South Korea, that is why there are cosmetic surgeries that can help women achieve this look.
Big Belly – Ethiopia
We’ve talked a lot about beauty when it comes to the female of the species. But some unique physical attributes across the globe are deemed attractive when it comes to men as well.

In Ethiopia, large bellies are seen as very attractive and as a result, the men there will eat more in order to achieve this look. There are also other traditions in place to ensure these men achieve that physique.
Facial Scarification – Africa
Body scarification is one thing, but when it comes to the face, this seems a little extreme to most. But that is not so when you find yourself amidst the Mundari tribe in Africa. Here facial scarification is looked at as a sign of beauty for both men and women.

There are set scar patterns that people attempt to achieve and this look tends to be two to three parallel lines on the face. What do you think of it?
Stretched Lips – Africa
We’re sure you’ve all seen images in magazines like National Geographic of the African tribes who use discs to stretch their lower lips. While this might be strange to us in the Western world, to them, this is a sign of beauty.

The discs that the girls begin to stretch their skin out with vary in size, and the larger the disk, the higher the girl is seen in society. This, of course, means that the dowry will be larger as well when she gets married.
Rosy Cheeks – Arctic
Though many of us may not realize it, there are inhabitants of the Arctic Circle. The Chukchi people of the Arctic live in extremely challenging climates. Because of this, the people have grown to have red and rosy cheeks from being so cold.

Though this is not a physical attribute they’re born with, and more an environmental consequence of where they live, it has become something that the people find very beautiful. Cute kids with rosy red cheeks – what could be sweeter?
The Wild Things You’ll Only See in Texas
Halloween In Texas
These girls needed to come up with a clever idea for a matching Halloween costume for the big upcoming party. For weeks they argued back and forth about how they would dress up for the festive holiday. They simply couldn’t think of anything that they all agreed with. At one point the girls began to worry that the debate over what to wear would threaten their friendship. Eventually, they came to a mutual agreement and decided to wear these adorable matching beer packages.

The Blushing Bride
Every little girl grows up fantasizing about her perfect dream wedding. Before the age of 15, most girls have planned out every single detail, including what they will wear, where the wedding will be, how many friends and family they’ll invite, if they’ll hire a band or DJ, and how their wedding album will look. For girls from Texas, this may or may not involve a photo shoot in a tree with a wedding gown and chainsaw in hand.

Be Back In Five
Only in the Lone Star State will you find a baby cow locked up on a bicycle rack, patiently waiting for his owner to return from running errands. Surprisingly, the only person who even looked twice at this bizarre scene was the man behind the camera, who’s from out of town and was visiting some relatives. Apparently, Texans are quite used to seeing livestock outside of farms and in places where the average American would least expect to see them.

Efficiency At Its Finest
If there’s anything folks from Texas know how to do, it’s cook for the whole family. This gentleman was looking for a way to cook as many hot dogs as possible in a short amount of time. Out of his desperation, came ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. By utilizing an old rake he had lying around in the shed, he managed to roast 17 weiners at the same time. Texans truly give a whole new meaning to the word “crafty!”

Beat The Heat
There’s only one way to beat the brutal Texas heatwaves in the summer, and that’s with a good ole’ fashioned pickup truck swimming pool. In addition to being incredibly simple and easy to make, they’re the perfect fun solution when you’re local swimming hole is too busy. All you need to do is throw down a tarp and a bag of ice in the bed of your pickup truck, fill it with water and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with your buddies.

Good Eats!
The expression “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” has never been truer. When Jim Bob’s neighbor threw away this old filing cabinet, Jim Bob knew he hit the jackpot. Just one week prior, his grill had broken down and he had been searching for a replacement. In order to fill the void in his life, he gathered up the discarded filing cabinet left by his wasteful neighbor and turned it into the most organized grill you’ve ever seen.

Drive-Thru? More Like Ride-Thru
The Lone Star State is a mysterious and bizarre place, full of surprises. There are some pretty wild and hilarious photos out there of things that you’ll really only ever find in Texas. There’s an unwritten law in Texas that any drive-through fast food joint is also a ride-through. This is because many residents of the Lone Start State prefer to use an eco-friendly horse as their primary method of transportation rather than a fossil-fuel consuming car.

An Upgrade For The Elements
This Texas resident is conserving his body’s finite energy by using this heavy-duty high-powered supercharged motorized personal transportation device. After first purchasing it, he decided that he needed to upgrade the normal wheels it came with to these military-grade off-road capable wheels. Now, he is able to travel through all the rough terrain that the great state of Texas has to offer. He can take his chair through the sandy deserts, up the rugged mountains, and even through wet swamps.

King Of The Road
When you’ve got a lifted truck like the one we see in this photo, there’s really no reason to abide by traditional parking rules and regulation. In Texas, these lifted trucks are pretty common, and therefore, law enforcement officers have just about given up on punishing them for parking jobs like the one in this photo. The way they see it, if you’re wimpy Jeep can’t hold its own in the Target parking lot, you better get yourself an upgrade!

Love Was In The Air, Now It’s On The Ground
It really warms the heart to see two Texans madly in love with each other. After all, nothing says “I love you” like putting on a wedding dress and tuxedo and toting around your cowboy hats for a photo shoot. You can really see that this special couple has a bright future together based on the way that they stare into each other’s eyes before they fire off a few rounds in the direction of some ducks flying by.

Just Another Trip To The Outhouse
Texans live by the motto, “If you’re going to do something half-hearted, you might as well not do it in the first place.” In Texas, there’s no such thing as too much of anything, especially when it comes to toilet paper. Just ask this guy, who only restocks his outhouse with Costco’s super mega heavy-duty high-powered family-sized toilet paper. During an average month, he goes through about five or six of these bad boys, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Redneck Calamari
While people in other states may choose to indulge in fancy appetizers that cost way more than they should, folks in Texas like to keep their food simple. Besides, who says cheap and elegant don’t go together? Just one glance at this delicious tray of “redneck calamari,” and you’ll realize that Texans know fine dining and upscale cuisine the same way they know rodeos and high school football. Our mouths are watering just looking at this photo!

Keep Your Chin Up
This gentleman from the Lone Star State had just a bit too much fun during last weekend’s tailgate. He ended up indulging in several beverages and found himself in the back of a law enforcement officer’s car. When the cops brought him in to get some sleep and rest for a few hours, they captured this mugshot, which unfortunately made the nightly news for all the wrong reasons. Now he’s known around town as the man who couldn’t hold his own head up.

Not Your Average Grocery Store
Texan’s may be well known for their ability to grow and abundance of various agricultural products, but they definitely aren’t known for their ability to spell those products. The owner of this makeshift roadside produce station was confident that he’d be able to sell out all of his vegetables. Unfortunately, he couldn’t manage to spell one word correctly on his sign, so no one came to buy his fresh vegetables. He ended up feeding them to some nearby horses.

Have Her Back By Midnight… Or Else…
Before heading off to her junior year high school prom, this girl and her handsome date wanted to capture a few photos in the front yard so they’d have something to remember the occasion. Unfortunately, her dad and little brother had other plans. Pappa wanted to make sure that the boy who was taking daddy’s little girl to the dance knew to treat her well, while her little brother simply wanted to photobomb from up in the tree.

All-American Nachos
We’re going to go out on a limb here and say that this bag of Fritos was not purchased this way. The most likely explanation for the appearance of this decadent snack is that Texans do everything full-tilt. Whether it’s upgrading their truck, or calming their appetite before dinner, Texans don’t do anything half-way. So instead of eating a boring bag of chips, Texans like to add ground beef and grated cheese. Think of it as their own all-American style of nachos.

A Real Tooth-Ache
The Lone Star State is all about efficiency. For the young gentleman in this photo, that means eating your corn on the cob as fast as possible, even if it means using power tools to do so. The reason he wanted to eat so fast was that he had tickets to a Nascar race that he was running late for. While he was able to devour his corn in record speed, he unfortunately lost a few teeth in the process.

A New Marketing Strategy
The owner of this Texas Chick-Fil-A restaurant knows exactly who eats at his restaurant. So if you thought that this photo is showing a malfunction with the electricity in the store’s sign, rest assured that there is no defect here. It’s all part of the restaurant owner’s new marketing strategy. By clearing calling upon the folks who are most likely to eat in his fast food facility, he is hoping to raise sales to record-breaking numbers, and finally get himself out of debt.

Family Reunion
Any Texas resident will tell you that there’s nothing better than a family reunion down at the mud pit. It’s truly an amazing time for family members of all ages. Old or young, everyone gets involved in the magical tradition. The best part of the whole weekend is the mud pit belly flop contest. Last year Uncle Jeff took the title, but this year Grandpa Joe has recovered from his hip surgery and is looking to take back the title that was once his.

Jail Sale
This Texas resident needed to sell off some of his belongings in order to make a quick buck before heading off to jail to serve a three-year sentence. Rather than use Craigslist or eBay, he decided to hold a one-of-a-kind yard sale in front of his home in Austin. To advertise the event, he went to the local crafts store and bought some markers and green construction paper. The catchiest name he could think of was the “Going to Jail Sale.”

The Camouflage Couple
This Texas couple will be rolling up to this year’s high school prom in style. In true southern fashion, the gentleman in the photo decided to go with a classic camouflage-colored tuxedo, while his girlfriend picked up a matching camouflage dress. While the couple had an amazing time dancing the night away and enjoying their last social gathering before college, they failed to win the titles of prom king and queen because none of their classmates could see them.

Two For One
While northern folks would probably find this sign appalling, Texans don’t see anything wrong with it. That’s because Texas residents love their convenience. Rather than run around from one side of town to the other in search of all of their basic necessities, they would much rather be able to run all of their errands at the same place. Additionally, Texans hate having to run around in the heat, so the ice cream with a kick is a solution to make everyone happy.

Supersized Cinnabon
When it comes to food, Texans like to push the single portion limits. Just take this massive cinnamon bun for example. This kid can’t even take a bite of the enormous sweet treat without getting sticky frosting all over his face. We would suggest trying to eat it with a fork and knife, but that would be a clear violation against the Texas code of ethics. He’s just going to have to go face-first and deal with the messy consequences later.

Dern Tootin’
The owner of this Texas diner was sick of tourists asking if they served breakfast, so he decided to put up this massive billboard on the side of the highway, answering the frequently asked question. Although folks from out of town have complained that the language on the sign is just a bit too abrasive, Texans seem to love it. They find the roadside sign to be hilarious. Since investing in the billboard, the diner has seen business skyrocket.

The Ultimate Texas Accessory
In Texas, just about everyone loves cowboy hats. Residents of the Lone Star State wear them every chance they get. Whether the weather is sunny, rainy, cloudy, hot, humid, or windy, you can bet your bottom dollar that a Texan will be sporting some kind of cowboy hat on their head. The state’s obsession with the southern fashion accessory is so extreme that they even began adding them to the little logo on the men’s and women’s restroom signs.

Shotgun Wedding
This adorable pair of Texas newlyweds decided that the best way to say “I do” was while holding on to one thing they love most in this world (besides each other that is). To you, it might seem a bit strange that they wanted to tie the knot what carrying these two heavy-duty personal protective devices. But that’s probably just because you don’t know Texas, a land where everyone is proud to know and use their rights to bear arms.

Hold Your Horses
You’ve probably seen signs like this in public places that say “no pets allowed,” but only in Texas will you find signs that let the general public know that it’s not acceptable to bring livestock with them to stores, parks, and shops. In any other state, it’s pretty much assumed that horses, cows, pigs, goats, and sheep should be kept at home, or, better yet, in a barn. But, for some reason, Texans need to be reminded that this sort of behavior is unacceptable.

Everything Is Bigger
Even though just about everyone has heard the expression, “everything is bigger in Texas,” very few people have actually experienced this phenomenon first-hand. It’s one thing to simply hear that Texas is a country full of super-sized food, over-sized trucks, and larger-than-life personalities, but to see it up close and personal is a whole different story. The woman in this photo is actually from the East coast, but upon seeing what Texas has to offer, she became a full-blown country girl!

Fine Dining
This Texas resident wanted to enjoy a dinner for one while watching the Dallas Cowboys’ football game. Because he didn’t want to miss a second of the action, he needed to figure out a way to eat without needing to shift his focus from the television to the table every time he wanted to take a bite. So he decided to get creative and look for something lying around the house that could solve his dilemma. He ended up finding his solution in the bathroom.

Clouds Of Spirit
Texas traditions don’t make a lot of sense to most Northerners, or anyone from outside of Texas for that matter. This is yet another one of them. Far from being ridiculed by their classmates from showing up in an outfit that makes them look as if spools of tinsel threw up on them, these girls are competing to see who has the best costume. They claim this is related to school spirit, but we don’t really believe it.

Life’s A Rodeo
Texas and other Southern states might be known for their rodeos, but you probably never knew that they take bull riding so seriously it’s considered the state sport. There’s nothing like proving how manly you are by jumping on a fully grown male cow until it gets so annoyed by your presence that it puts all of its energy into throwing you off its back. Sure, bull riding might have been necessary when cattle roamed freely, but now it’s relegated to Texan nostalgia.

Milking It Dry
It might be called a car wash, but you probably didn’t know that in Texas, “car” is short for “cattle.” When you live in a place that was built by life on the range, you better make sure there’s room to bring a cow into the carwash, after all, the state is known for its Texas Longhorns. Trucks might be the preferred vehicle of choice these days, but many still remember th good old days when cattle was king.

Twiggy The Weedman
In a state that nearly shuts down just because someone smelled snow in the air, you probably won’t find many opportunities to build an actual snowman. It’s a good thing children have such vivid imaginations, because if the state were populated only by adults no one would ever think t have so much fun with tumbleweed. They may be a symbol of the desert desolation, but now they can also become a festive winter decoration for families that live in never-ending summer.

Bullseye View
When your hometown pride is this strong, you better make sure that any passing planes or drones know just how much you care. In Texas, it’s not simply enough to outdo your neighbors by having the biggest house on the block. You can one up all of your friends and neighbors by making sure that you build your mansion in the shape of the great state itself. It’s a good thing it’s so big, otherwise, you’d never win the contest.

Dancing On Thin Ice
When cowboy culture is king, you have to be clear about what is and isn’t welcome if you own a bar. After one too many cowpeople got their boots stuck in this rustic wooden table, this establishment finally had to put their foot down, just not on the table, of course. While they couldn’t ban spurs outright, they thought the sign would be enough. Sadly, they couldn’t stop the people from dancing on tables with their boots on.

Texas Trot In
Sonic may be one of the last true drive-in restaurants, but when you live in Texas, the idea of arriving in a car or four-wheeled vehicle is just a suggestion. Most food service establishments would say no to animals on their premises, but it’s hard for a drive-in to claim that the health inspector said no horses allowed. Instead, this Texas location happily serves any customers no matter how they arrive, whether it’s by car, horse, or cow.

Catch The Police Cruiser
When you spend your days chasing down trucks as big as the ones that are generally found in the Lone Star State, a regular old police car just won’t cut it. Sure, the highway patrol considered investing in a bat mobile, but knowing how Texans react to anything high tech, they knew the only way to stay in control was to show up with the biggest vehicle. No one on the road could compete with this kind of cruiser.

Texas Nut Job
Texans are known for their pride in always being the biggest, but some people don’t realize fof those arenas actually hold clout with their neighbors. Own the biggest cow, the biggest house, the biggest hair? You’ve got their respect. But when it comes to growing the biggest pecan, this Texas farmer couldn’t have been more excited, only to find that no one else cared about having a big nut. If you can’t use it for pie, what’s even the point?

Party Free Zone
If there’s one way to keep the party away, it’s to ban all of the fun parts of it, without forbidding parties themselves. The people weren’t sure how to react to this sign. Half of them rejoiced that their favorite Texas souvenirs hadn’t been totally banned, but the other half got to hatching a plan. One night, they all snuck in with dozens of pinatas and confetti eggs. Drinks were poured freely. By morning, not a soul was found, but the confetti was everywhere.

Bed And Steakfest
Up in New England, bed and breakfasts are a popular option for spending a weekend away. The accommodations offer home-cooked meals, cozy rooms, and usually, activities. Down in Texas, however, such quaint past times are unheard of. On the other hand, you don’t get free 72 oz steaks when you stay at a motel in the north. At The Big Texan, not only are the rooms bigger, so are the steaks. For locals, there’s little that be better when it comes to a weekend away.

The Color That Matches Everything
When this Texas princess needed to buy a new dress, she decided to get one that would match her favorite possession in the whole world- her truck. Now she’s riding in style, and looking great while off-roading in her 4X4. While northerners might find this style a bit out of the ordinary, in Texas, camo is the one color that goes with anything, and it’s not uncommon to see folks casually walking around in camouflage-colored pants, sports jackets, skirts, and dresses.
